The garden is surviving despite being neglected by travel
So far this summer has been busy, busy, busy. I've been away from home for six of the last eleven days. So every time I go into my garden there are new changes. I'm constantly just trying to keep the weeds pulled and the plants pruned so that it all survives my days away. Next week I'll have another four days away from home so I'm already eager to find out what the garden will look like when I get back. My treat when coming home today was a bowl full of raspberries and a hand full of peas.
I have a number of these horsemint looking good
Milkweed got a little battered in the rain, but I hope it bounces back
spiderwort has opened
Daisy has opened by the catmint
All three types of tomatoes have some fruit growing
Yellow squash
Peas
Mini bell peppers are growing
Andrew found this butterfly. Right after this picture was taken, Landon swatted it with a stick. He is now missing part of a wing :-( We had a little talk about leaving butterflies alone
Melon is looking nice so far, but there is a long season ahead
