Summer is here!

Whoo hoo, school is out for the summer.  I don't quite have the time I want to work in the yard because Brad is still in school, but I have been able to spend a lot more time outside.  Amelia loves being outside (she must take after me) so she joins me on my daily morning garden walk to see if anything new is up in the yard, then we usually play in the garage or the backyard for a good hour at least.  Here are the latest wonders in the yard.

My Clematis is finally blooming. I'm worried I killed part of it today while picking weeds, but I don't think I pulled the vine that has this beauty.  

I planted the raised beds.  My tomatoes are looking horrible this year.  I need to work on my planting mix because I don't think they like what I've been using.  I'll have to keep an eye on everything to see how it comes along.

This bed needs a lot of help.  The grass is moving back in after two years of being neglected.  I've got to whip this garden into shape!

The alliums look great!

This garden also needed help.  The grass wasn't as bad, but it was trying to edge it's way in.  I took care of that.

The next step here is to reapply mulch.
